Christmas Holiday

Well we just got back from the trip of a lifetime.

11 days from Auckland to the South Island and back over 2500km.

Here are some pictures.

Our first day was from Auckland to Napier.

Napier Waterfront

Then from Napier to Wellington...

Wellington Skyline from top of the Cable Cars

Andy didn't want to walk around the Botanical Gardens at the top

Then we hoped on the ferry....

The ferry took us from Wellington on the North Island to Picton on the South Island.
It was 3.5 hours long the the scenery was magnificent!

Then we arrived in Moteuka near the Abel Tasman National Park

Here is our gracious host, Mike Harvey, dusting off the goats.

It was a beautiful home on 30 hectacres of farm land - apple orchards, vineyards, with sheep, goats and llamas.

It was simply heaven...A three bedroom home and use of the neighbors saltwater swimming pool! Ella was excited that she didn't even need her googles!

Kaiteriteri Beach in Abel Tasman Park - Named on of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Our pictures do not do it justice!

The highlight of our trip was a ride on the Water Taxi into Abel Tasman Park

Then a two hour walk along the coast line from Torrent Bay to Anchorage Bay

Abel Tasman Tramp

Then a swim in the ocean before we water taxied back to the car.

MORE PICTURES TO FOLLOW....

After Moteuka, we traveled to Greymouth on the West Coast, then over Arthur's Pass to Christchurch, then to Kaikouras and back on the ferry to Wellington...
