Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

This is the first Thanksgiving that I can think of that we have not had turkey...but we are going to on Saturday...A boy on Andy's basketball team is from Seattle and they invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday with some other Americans and some curious Kiwis...
It should be heaps of fun...We have my company's Christmas party on Friday night...Oriental theme. Sue and Mary have been shopping for dresses and shoes all week for the occassion.

Andy had Field Day for his school and won the 100m dash and the softball throw. He qualified for the Pennisula Games next Thursday which is all the best 9 year olds on the North Shore.

Maddi is swimming at a meet this weekend and is going to try to qualify for the National Age Group meet in the 100 and 200 backstroke. She is fighting a cold, inherited from her mother so could be tough...

I did the Takapuna Beach swim this last tuesday and my time was a minute slower than two weeks ago, but the wave were huge! 3-4 foot swell... Andy was body surfing the whole time...and said it was the best day he has had here in New Zealand.
