Well we had a great weekend here in New Zealand.
Sue and I got out for a date night on friday night!
Doesn't Sue look great!!! I love it when she dressing up...so do Maddi, Andy and esp. Ella!
Ella said that Mommy looked like a princess like her...because Ella is always dressing up
in princess dress!
I know you all enjoyed Thanksgiving in the States. We were fortunate enough to be invited
to an American family's house for Thanksgiving for actual turkey! There were two other
families there as well with American wives and Kiwi/South African husbands. These families
were involved in sailing and had literally not stayed in one place for more than 9 months. They
were very interesting. One of the women swam for San Diego State so Sue and Maddi and her talked for a long time. Sue teaches her daughter's swim lessons (small world, eh?).
The other great news this weekend...is that Maddi qualified for the
National Age Group meet in Wellington this March.
She qualified in three events (SCM times): 100 Back 1:11; 200 Back 2:33; 400 free 4:50
The 400 free was a surprise. She was hoping for the backstrokes, but to get the 400 free
was amazing...Her 400 free conversion time to 500 yards is around 5:30!
She is so pyched...and totally deserves it with all the training she has been doing.
